The Little High Neighborhood Association encourages those who can to make financial contributions to the Haven. In addition to the options described below, the Little High Neighborhood Association will solicit donations to the Haven at its sponsored events.

The Haven provides respite services for people who are experiencing homelessness or living in extreme poverty in Charlottesville. The Haven also offer supportive case management for guests who are eligible for programs to get them back into stable housing.
Homelessness is a housing crisis, and the solution to homelessness is housing. The Haven works with several agencies and programs to connect guests to the resources they need to find housing and stabilize their lives. They offer housing support and assistance through Housing First and other assistance programs.
Your gift helps your neighbors facing homelessness find respite and guidance as they pursue the path toward stable housing.
What Can My Gift Provide?
- $35 is the average fee for submitting a rental housing application.
- $66 pays for a monthly local bus pass for three guests.
- $146 provides breakfast for 65 people, our daily average.
- $500 is our total monthly budget for our discretionary client assistance fund, which purchases such items as needed medications, glasses, or replacement ID cards.
- $1,250 is the operating cost of one day at The Haven.
- $2,100 is the typical total move-in costs for a family in a one-bedroom apartment.
