Two upcoming FREE RSWA Collection Events

April 20, 2026

Rivanna Solid Waste AuthorityThe Rivanna Solid Waste Authority (RSWA) is hosting two more free collection events for Charlottesville and Albemarle County residents. These free collection events happen biannually, so if you miss this one the next opportunity will be in the fall.  Everything you wish to discard has to be transported to the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center which is located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, 22903 (about a 20 minute drive from Little High). Registration and tickets are NOT required to participate in these two events.

If anyone would like to offer the use of a pickup truck to others in the neighborhood it would be very much appreciated. Please write to us at lhna.cville@gmail.com and let us know.
