The Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society (ACHS) is conducting tours of Maplewood Cemetery Saturday afternoons at 4pm through November 28. Maplewood cemetery was established as Charlottesville’s first public cemetery in 1827. The ACHS tour lasts about an hour and it touches on the lives and stories of some of the more interesting but less well-known people buried there.
