The City is working on hiring the next Police Chief. As part of this process, the City would like you to go to the link below and complete a short survey on what you would like to see in a Police Chief. The deadline to complete the survey has been extended to August 22
Everyone is invited to the Little High Neighborhood Association’s meeting with Michelle Simpson, project engineer with the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA), to discuss the Central Water Line Project, a multi-year project to improve the basic infrastructure of our local water system. Part of the project involves putting in new water pipes running through (which will require digging up) 10th and/or 11th streets between East Jefferson and East High streets. Our meeting will be held via zoom on Wednesday, March 30, at 7pm. The project is still in its planning phase, so this is a great opportunity to ask questions and raise any concerns. We want to encourage as much participation as we can get from our neighborhood and nearby neighborhoods, so please help spread the word to your neighbors. The LHNA is NOT taking any position for or against this plan — this is simply an important opportunity for residents to find out more and to ask questions.

At the October 12 joint public hearing, the Charlottesville Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend that City Council adopt the new Comprehensive Plan with four amendments.
City Council will hold a public hearing and First Reading of the Comprehensive Plan on Monday, November 15, starting at 6:30pm.

Purpose: The Cville Plans Together team will meet with the Planning Commission during their regularly-scheduled September meeting. At this time, we will discuss the Implementation Chapter and revisions to other chapters.
Purpose: This discussion will be centered on revisions to the Comprehensive Plan (Future Land Use Map and chapters).

The project timeline has been updated and now reflects that Planning Commission and Council hearings for the Comprehensive Plan are currently planned for October and November.
The Move2Health Equity Coalition is conducting a short survey (5 minutes to complete) to assess the ability of Charlottesville residents to get to the places they need to go, as well as barriers that make it more difficult for people to get around. The survey is anonymous and the overall results will be shared with neighborhood leaders and others working to improve connectivity.
