The pandemic made us more aware of the dramatic income inequalities that have long plagued Charlottesville, so the Little High Neighborhood Association voted in 2020 to make an ongoing year round effort to do what we can to support the work of the Haven, a multi-resource day shelter downtown (112 West Market Street). Accordingly, we try to help publicize and promote the Haven's needs to our neighborhood residents. All of our neighborhood association sponsored events will continue to be free and open to all neighborhood residents and their friends and guests but we will also solicit cash donations at each event (music, storytelling, etc.).

Little High neighborhood's contribution to the Haven's Winter Wear Drive 2025*So, you may be wondering, what do we do now?

Play Winter Wear BINGO!

On Wednesday, November 19, The Haven, Do Good Cville, and Random Row Brewery will host a Dab for Good BINGO night to celebrate this year’s Winter Wear Drive. The event begins at 5:30pm, and we’ll start calling numbers at 6pm sharp!

Bring a coat OR $5 donation to receive a board (limit one free board per person). Prizes include gift cards and items from area restaurants, breweries, and shops. Proceeds will go to the purchase of larger-sized coats and necessities for The Haven Day Shelter.

Bonus: chat with Haven staff, get swag, learn about other ways to support our work, and enjoy some brews with pals!
