Little High Neighborhood News

The Little High Neighborhood in Charlottesville, Va
The Little High Neighborhood was originally formed in the early aughts, just before the area between East Market Street and East Water Street / Carlton Road had more than a handful of residential units. Institutional memory not being a strong suit of volunteer run organizations generally, subsequent LHNA boards were unaware of the need to adapt to the rapid growth of the area so it wasn't officially incorporated in the neighborhood until 2023.

Another Snowstorm…

January 16, 2022

January 3, 2022 snow storm on Little HighAfter the power outages throughout the area (including Meriwether Street for just under 48 hours) a couple of weeks ago, a lot of people are nervous about the storm that started late this morning. If anyone needs help shoveling their walk or sidewalk, please don’t hesitate to contact the Neighborhood Association for help. We will do our best to either do it ourselves or find a volunteer (and, of course, anyone who would like to help shovel out neighbors but doesn’t know where to start is welcome to contact us). More importantly, if all or a portion of the neighborhood loses power and anyone needs a warm place to go, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the neighborhood association for help. Some houses stay warmer than others even in a power outage and we will do our best to find shelter for anyone in need.
