Halloween Storytelling & Costume Parade

October 15, 2020

The neighborhood is hosting a Halloween costume parade and storytelling event on Halloween from 4pm to 6pm at 1107 East Jefferson Street. All neighborhood kids are encouraged to participate in the costume parade (immediately after which each kid will get a sensibly-sized bag of candy) AND in the storytelling. The theme for this storytelling event is: mysteries, coincidences, and other true spooky tales. The time limit is 3-5 minutes. Kids and adults can sign up to tell a story by replying to this email or by texting Denise Stewart at 434-825-8738.

The first of our storytelling events happened on Sunday, 10/4, and it was a lot of fun. About 25 people attended, 13 people got up and told great stories. I think it’s fair to say everyone had a lovely  time. Halloween storytelling should be even more fun. Please come out and join us!
