City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County residents are invited to participate in Rivanna Solid Waste Authority’s FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Friday, 9/18 through Saturday, 9/19 from 9am to 3pm.
The FREE event welcomes paints, petroleum products, household cleaners, pesticides, batteries, fluorescent lights, acids, adhesives, antifreeze, stains, paint thinners, spray paint, inkjet cartridges, photographic chemicals, mercury thermometers, driveway sealers, pool chemicals, resins, thermostats, and much more! Advance registration is NOT required.
Residents can drop off their items at the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
Please note that latex and oil-based paints are accepted for free every day at the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center; just notify the scale house attendant for directions. These services are offered to Albemarle County, City of Charlottesville, and Town of Scottsville residents only.
