Draft Zoning Diagnostic + Approach Report Posted
- We are pleased to share that the first report of the zoning rewrite phase of the Cville Plans Together process has been posted to the project website.
- This document identifies issues with the current Zoning Ordinance and establishes a proposed approach to the zoning rewrite. It can be considered a conceptual plan for our new zoning ordinance, laying out a set of ideas that could be included in order to advance the goals and strategies of the Comprehensive Plan. Please note that we have not yet developed a draft zoning map or draft zoning text.
- The community review and comment period for the report will extend through August 2022.
- After the open house on the 27th, we will share additional resources from that event.
Our goals in this community engagement phase are two-fold:
(1) to explain and clarify what is being proposed and how those ideas relate to implementation of the Comprehensive Plan and
(2) to get feedback on those ideas.
