Information for and about the Little High Neighborhood in Charlottesville, VA
In recent years the Little High neighborhood has hosted a series of backyard concerts, story telling for children and adults, garden days, summer picnics, bonfires, food drives, clothing drives, trash cleanups (in the neighborhood and assisting other neighborhoods who've asked for help), purges of invasive vines, experts on various topics, assorted political candidates, and public officials.
We're always interested in hosting or supporting neighborhood events, so let us know if you have an idea for an event that would be enjoyable for the neighborhood.
The next Little High neighborhood backyard concert will be held Tuesday, July 12, 7:00pm at 1118 Little High Street
Don’t miss the summer picnic on Sunday, June 12th, 4:00pm, at Meade Park. We’ll supply pizza; some sides, dessert and water, as well as cups, plates and utensils. Please bring chairs, anything else you’d like to drink, and your favorite neighborhood story to share! It’s a great opportunity to get to know more neighbors, enjoy the neighbors you already know, and become involved in the neighborhood association.
This is a great opportunity to pay your (purely voluntary) neighborhood association dues — just $10 per family/household (although we will happily collect more to help us do even more for the neighborhood). Your dues help support neighborhood association activities like this upcoming picnic! The neighborhood association will be providing pizza, rice and veggies, and dessert and drinks (including Kombucha from Mountain Culture Kombucha).
Come meet or reconnect with neighbors, enjoy free food and drink, and talk to your neighborhood association board members.
